This morning, Wednesday 26th August, the Secretary of State, Chris Bryant MP and NIO Ministers Sarah Owen MP and Baroness Ruth Anderson joined volunteers at The Peoples Kitchen Belfast to serve breakfast to people in need. We were delighted, as funders of The People’s Kitchen, to be invited to attend and help too, and also to join the conversation on addressing homelessness, one of the key focuses of the Belfast Charitable Society.
This visit by the Secretary of State this morning was extremely encouraging. Homelessness is a complex issue, and we look forward to further discussions on how to improve the lives of those disadvantaged in the near future.
