Raj Darshna was set up by a private donor with the aim of giving back to the local community. With a focus on supporting disadvantaged young people, in particular education of young people.
This 2026 Raj Darshna supported A Level Art and Design fashion students from the Rainey Endowed School in Magherafelt. It has also previously been a contributor towards the Mary Ann McCracken Bursary programme in North Belfast, which aims to break down some of the financial barriers which may affect some students. Whether that is to cover application fees for university, buy a new suit or travel fare for a job interview or to encourage young people to progress to AS or A-Levels, the fund offers us flexibility to tailor to individual needs. Twelve post primary schools in North Belfast are supported by this bursary programme.
