Belfast Charitable Society has supported the North Belfast Youth Choir through grant funding for a number of years.
The choir currently engages around 70 young people aged 11–18 from a range of post-primary schools, bringing them together through shared musical experiences that promote confidence, aspiration and positive relationships across communities.
Over the last few years, members took part in an ambitious programme of rehearsals, performances and collaborative experiences, including appearances at major civic and cultural events and recognition at the City of Derry International Choir Festival.
Alongside musical achievement, the choir provides an important space for social connection and personal development, helping young people build lasting friendships and broaden perspectives across traditional divides in North Belfast.
Belfast Charitable Society is proud to contribute to work that supports young people to develop their talents, strengthen community connections and access opportunities through the shared experience of music.
